Now the fun really begins... We have just over one month (closing is July 5) to find somewhere to move, rent/buy a house, pack up all of our worldly goods, close on our house(s), and move our stuff into a new home. Whew. It will be a busy couple of weeks.
We are going out on Saturday to look at a few houses that are for sale in the Easton, MD area. All are extremely nice houses, but each has several advantages and disadvantages. Here are the listing numbers if you would like to take a look (in the order in which we will be seeing them):
A great house with a lot of potential. It's in the White Marsh school district for elementary school, which is one of the best in the area (Easton Middle & High school). It has the largest yard (2 acres) and is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. But, it's about 5 miles further away from my work, the house needs some minor cosmetic work (from what we can tell by looking at the outside), it may need a new roof, and it does not have a garage (we'll have to get a shed).TA8088302:
An extremely nice house in another nice neighborhood. The houses are fairly close together. It has the smallest yard of the houses that we are seeing (0.24 acres), but it is beautiful inside. It's very well maintained and very bright and shiny and cheerful. It is on a section of road in the neighborhood that is less traveled. The rooms look to be very large. But, it's the most expensive house we are seeing.TA8041324

A nice house in another nice neighborhood. We think it has a separate office downstairs. It has a biggish yard (0.62 acres) that includes a lot of trees. However, it is currently inhabited and the houses in the neighborhood are extremely close together (the yard is very rectangle shaped).
We are seeing these houses on Saturday morning, so hopefully I'll have something to report soon!

I look forward to seeing what you think after you have been inside each one. Fun stuff shopping for houses!
