The room we're using is the room that's right across from the kitchen. It used to have gray carpet. We tore that out and put in laminate flooring. With kids coming, we thought this would be better than carpet. Plus, it's dog toenail-proof. We also put in trim all the way around. We tore out the area in the corner that was a pseudo-closet (there were no doors) and are thinking of using it as a diaper changing area.
Joe is in the process of putting the last coat of spackling on the walls and ceiling and putting primer wherever is necessary. We are planning to paint it in a cream color with white trim. Then, the electrician will come back out to switch the electrical outlets to white (they're an ugly 1970's brown/black color now), and we should hopefully be done. I've started looking at furniture, but we haven't picked anything out yet besides the cribs. We're thinking of getting regular dressers instead of a changing table.
