Christmas time was here again

Christmas was a blast!  We had our elf, Mr. Elf, spend the month with us, and he must have told Santa that the kids were good, because they made out pretty well.  We went to a couple of Christmas events/parties, made/decorated gingerbread houses and cookies, and put up lots of decorations.  We even left out cookies and milk for Santa and marshmellows for his reindeer (I'm not sure where the marshmellow idea came from, but I guess that's how the Phillips family rolls now).

Christmas morning.  Santa was definitely here.

Ben got a rug with roads to drive his trucks and cars on, superman and spiderman books, trucks, and a piggy bank.

Nikki got a hopscotch rug, a baby doll, rollerskates and pads, princess books, and a piggy bank.

 Let the mayhem commence.

Nikki enjoyed unwrapping a few gifts by herself.  Then, she asked for Ben's help to unwrap the rest, saying, "Ben, let's unwrap this present together."  Smart girl--training him to do things for her.

A few days later, Ben was exhausted after all of the Christmas events.  He fell asleep in Joe's chair in a fairly awkward position.

Nikki has memorized the words to one of her Christmas books and enjoys "reading" it to us at bedtime.  I got it on video, soon to come.
