Tee-Ball

The kids started playing tee-ball a couple of weeks ago.  They seem to be enjoying it.  The rules are simple: each child gets to hit the ball (no strikes).  Each hit is a base hit.  When the last batter hits the ball, everyone runs the bases and comes home.  There's only 3 innings, which is great for us.  Our first game took 35 minutes, and the second was 40.  Then they get snacks and drinks! (Ben's favorite part)

Ben & Nicole each got to pick out their own baseball glove, too.  They stand out in the field, mainly around where the pitcher's mound is, and wait for the ball.  When somebody hits the ball, about three kids all run for it.  They dive over it, fall on it in a big pile of kids, try to grab it, and then when they pick it up, they don't know what to do with it.  It's pretty funny.  Nikki is happy because they even have a pink bat for the girls to use!
