We made it to 3!

 Nikki got a baby carriage

 They both got new bikes

And Ben got another new truck!

I asked them each a few questions on their birthday. Here's what they had to say:

Ben:

Nikki:

14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Ride my bike, play in water 

15. What is your favorite drink? Apple juice

16. What is your favorite holiday? My birthday

17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? My baby and cheetah-fuzz

Other tidbits:
 They are both potty trained, except at night. They both are trying to put on their own clothes, but they both need help with their shirts.  They are talking like crazy.  They literally repeat every word that we say.  Ben still loves his trucks and takes a truck with him everywhere.  Nikki still loves her baby and takes her with her everywhere.


We get asked a lot if they look alike or act alike.  The easy answer is "no, definitely not."  Nikki is very much a Mommy's girl, as Ben is very much a Daddy's boy.  Ben has slightly darker skin (looks tan all the time) with medium brown hair, and Nikki is very pale complected with blonde hair.  Nikki's eyes are slightly darker blue than Ben's eyes.  Nikki is a girly girl, and Ben is a typical little boy.  Nikki hates to get dirty, Ben likes to play in the dirt and throw it at Nikki.  Nikki loves to swim, Ben doesn't want anything to do with the pool.  Ben will try new foods, Nikki like to stick with what she knows.  Ben has a sweet tooth, Nikki could care less.  Nikki likes animals, Ben mainly ignores them.  Nikki is into electronic gizmos (my iPhone, nook, digital camera), and Ben isn't interested (unless Nikki has it, then he wants to take it away from her).  Ben is usually the first to try doing something new, and Nikki likes to hang back and watch for a while first.  Nikki runs like a big kid, Ben runs like Fred Flintstone.  They are pretty much exact opposites.


We have their 3-year check-up this week.  I'll post heights and weights afterwards, although they are both close to 39 inches tall on our wall growth chart.
