February

We took a trip to the children's museum in Baltimore during February.  The kids had an okay time, but I was less than impressed.  We'll go back sometime, but only when I get discounted entry (thanks Groupon!).

Nikki got her picture taken as a knight, a queen, and a jester.

Ben is always attracted to the trains, trucks, cars, planes....

He must have spent 45 minutes at this game.  You put the ball in the cup, turn the wheel and it goes to the top, then the ball falls into a groove which takes it to a giant tub where it falls to the ground.

Their favorite part of the museum: the water play room.  They had built-in hoses with nozzles that you used to shoot drums that were on the wall.  Water and loud noise, what could be more fun?

Nikki enjoyed the water table.  The water moved downhill, and you could build dams, float boats, and turn the water flow on and off.

There was a kid-size diner where kids could serve their parents all the (fake) food you could imagine!

We also spend a lot of time at the indoor playground at our gym since the weather's been so cold.  Ben loves sliding down the slides!  This yellow slide is his favorite.

We went bowling for the first time, too.  One game was enough for them.  They were amazed by the ball return shoot.

They really liked rolling the ball down the lane.  I timed it, and it took anywhere from 30 seconds to 1:15 for the balls to get to the pins. :-)

Ben waited patiently while his ball went down the lane.

Video games.  Just like the Karrels side of the family: Nikki on a motorcycle.
