We had a good time, although we missed most of the parade. There was lots to do and see, but the kids' favorite activity was climbing on a huge tree after we ate lunch.

The local wildlife rescue/conservation people had a display of native animals. It included several different birds and owls.
A leaf off of the tree on which they were climbing.
There was also a bagpipe-playing display that I got on video. Nicole really enjoyed that. I hear her watching it on my phone quite a bit.
