What we did in May

I have gotten behind again in updating the blog with our daily events.  So, here is a recap of the month of May:

We discovered a restaurant that has a chocolate fountain.

Ben preferred to dip rice krispie treats and marshmellows in the chocolate fountain

They saved Wal-Mart from bad guys

We had plenty of snuggle time with Dad

We went on a field trip to a local farm/creamery where they make milk, cheese and yogurt.

And, we got to pet a cow, chicken and duck.

Ben got his haircut (not his first--he loves to get his hair cut)
We watched Daddy mow the lawn.  On most occasions, we also got to help Daddy mow the lawn by riding on the lawn mower with him
We went to the school picnic to celebrate the last day of school
We played in the fountain at the park during the picnic and got all wet.  But, it was a nice day, so it felt really good.
We celebrated Ben & Nicole's 4th birthday at the indoor playground at the gym with some of their friends.

And enjoyed lots of birthday cake

The gym was able to split the theme for their birthday so that it was half princesses and half monster trucks

The kids made out really well with their presents

But they enjoyed playing with their friends even more.  This little girl playing with Nicole is my niece, Caroline.

We went on a trip to the National Zoo in DC with Gram.  Getting there involved riding on the metro, which may have been Ben's favorite part.

Nicole and Ben climbed up onto this statue of an anteater all by themselves (almost).

And, we went for a ride down the longest escalator I've ever seen (at the metro station)

Also, nothing new on the house situation yet.  Last thing we heard is that the realtors FedExed the contract paperwork to the prison for the owner to sign.  Also, they are checking with the bank about the situation.  Apparently, this kind of thing happens a bit, and Jim said that it is not uncommon for the bank to rent the house to us while the paperwork is being sorted out.  So, we asked Jim if he could see if we can move in around June 25 instead.  We still need to paint the entire inside of the house, clean it, and get a shed delivered and set up before we can move in.  We are waiting to hear back on this, too.  More to come...
